GRAB IT NOW
Hello ! Can you believe we are already in Fall/ Autumn? I haven’t been active in this space over the last few months as I had a few big changes that included resigning from my corporate job, moving and focusing on some health issues. But now I am back with renewed energy and excited to continue coaching as well as provide you with the latest updates and tips on health and fitness.
Today I want to talk about what Life & Health Coaching really is and if it is right for you.
You’ve probably read or come across the terms health/wellness/life coaching but you’re not really sure what it means. Is it the same as Counseling or Therapy?
The short answer is No.
Not everyone may need or require therapy but in my opinion I think all of us can greatly benefit from Life Coaching. We all have daily challenges and areas in our life we would like to improve on and a coach is an empathetic listener who provides a safe space for you to discuss your problems and goals. Coaching is a holistic process and focuses on physical, mental and emotional well being.
Life Coaching is a very general and broad term, however there are many niched areas of coaching such as Health, Career, Financial, Business Coach etc. Coaches focus on the present and the future and help clients gain clarity in what they truly desire and steer them towards achieving those goals.
Coaches help clients become more self aware of their strengths and weaknesses as well as identifying limiting beliefs and self sabotaging habits that prevent them from reaching their goals.
Health coaches help people with a broad variety of issues such as weight loss, improving nutrition, stress reduction, managing chronic conditions and challenging situations in their life.
When you receive health coaching, you are investing in you and your growth. You are willing to show up, do the work, stay motivated and do what is required to achieve your desired transformation. Your coach in turn will hold you accountable and steer you in the right direction and provide support to help you achieve your goals.
We have a plethora of information available on the internet. In fact, we need to sift through all the information to identify and discard misinformation. This is where health coaches thrive as they will guide you in providing the right information for you to make informed decisions.
